Weekly News (23/01/2017)

This week, following Donald Trump's inauguration on the 20th January, the newly appointed President has issued an executive order banning people from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen from travelling to America. The radical ban has raised numerous issues of controversy, especially on social media, and not only restricted to the outrage regarding this blatant show of Islamophobia - although there has been considerable feedback, especially on Twitter, from users and celebrities regarding this, including Kim Kardashian who tweeted a list of statistics which highlighted the likelihood of actually being killed by an Islamic jihadist immigrant in comparison to being shot by another American or, even, falling out of bed.
Other issues that this news has highlighted is the leadership within UK after Theresea May was slated for not making a strong enough statement in opposition to the ban.
@theresa_may You're the Prime Minister. Get on the phone to the President and tell him the ban cannot stand. And do it today.— Ed Miliband (@Ed_Miliband) January 29, 2017
A petition to ban Trump from his state visit to the UK has also attracted virality online, gathering more than a million votes in the first 24 hours of it being live.As the list of people condemning Trump grows, Theresa May's credibility shrinks https://t.co/XSjSkoo0fw— John Shafthauer (@hourlyterrier) January 29, 2017
.@realDonaldTrump should not be welcomed to Britain while he abuses our shared values with shameful #MuslimBan & attacks on refugees & women— Jeremy Corbyn MP (@jeremycorbyn) January 29, 2017

I looked at the same item of news, I think what was missing from your response was your opinion of the matter. Though I think you included an effective range of examples and from people of importance or influence which gave a good context to your response.
