I found the following news story "Boris: My case for Britain to stay in Europe" on Twitter and I feel as though it's relevant for two main reasons. For example, I think that the story shows how a newspaper can market itself by creating suspense and developing a story online and in social media to create a hype for when the content of the actual story is released. Following The Sunday Times' tweet regarding a story set to be released tomorrow, other news distributors have picked up the story and an online discussion has been created, which is likely to lead to more sales of The Sunday Times. For example, Sky News and Daily Mail Online were among distributors to cover the story after the tweet was broadcast.
The relevance of the story also comes in the fact that discusses a topic that is a matter of current affairs given the issue regarding the "Brexit" terms and the signing of Article 50. The fact that Boris Johnson was one of the lead campaigners for the Leave Campaign contradicts the article that The Sunday Times are about to publish in which he outlines a case to remain in the European Union, which is likely to spark controversy regarding his hypocrisy.
I think the story is interesting because it is one that will develop as time goes on. There has been social discourse regarding it before it has been released and there will no doubt be more public attention and press attention following it's release, with reactions and responses likely to create their own stories.
